Log Number: IGSM-257394-OMS-25

The Spring Grove Area Historical Preservation Society, in collaboration with local community organizations, will provide opportunities for the public to engage in a celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Articles of Confederation and the history of Spring Grove during the colonial period and revolutionary periods. Through public presentations with living history educators, the museum will bring the nation's history to life for public school students, senior citizens, community social organizations, and the general public. Programming will focus on the Spring Grove Borough and the surrounding area’s direct impact through the mining and blooming of local iron ore that was used in the battles of the Revolutionary War. The programs will cover topics such as treason, trade, and survival during this tumultuous time in American History.
