America's Packard Museum
Log Number: IGSM-259308-OMS-26
The America’s Packard Museum will digitize and make freely available to the public 6,150 images from Automobile Quarterly, which was a highly regarded professional journal. This project supports the museum's mission to educate present and future generations about the Packard Motor Car Company, its products, and philosophies, and reflects the museum's holistic interests in the role automobiles played in American life. The project team will select items for digitization based on the collection finding aid, rarity of the vehicle, historical importance, and documentary gaps, and promote the collection through social media and presentations at professional organizations. The primary beneficiaries of this project will include American and international scholars, students, and the public interested in the history of art, automobiles, design, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and technology.
