Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society

The Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society will enhance preservation and access to its archival collection. Museum staff will inventory, assess, catalog, rehouse, and digitize 1,323 linear feet of its archival holdings. The project will support a Curator of Collections and the purchase of archival materials. The newly processed and digitized collection will broaden understanding of the lived experiences of ordinary citizens during the Revolution and the founding of American government. The project will result in greater preservation and online accessibility of the collection to researchers, genealogists, educators, students, and the general public. In addition, the project will enable staff to more readily contribute to America250 commemorative programming.
