Midwest Miniatures Museum

The Midwest Miniatures Museum will strengthen their capacity to steward and manage their growing collection by conducting a comprehensive inventory. Project activities will include finalizing documentation standards and inventory procedures, conducting a physical inventory and documentation of the collection stored within the museum building and in their off-site warehouse, and integrating the inventory information into their digital collections management system. The primary outcome of the project will be a completed inventory of the museum’s 1,400 objects. The initial beneficiaries are museum staff and volunteers responsible for collections care and exhibition planning, while long-term beneficiaries include museum visitors, researchers, miniatures enthusiasts, and partnering cultural institutions.
