Washington Crossing Historic Park

Log Number: IGSM-260465-OMS-26

Washington Crossing Historic Park will develop a web-based, mobile-friendly interactive map of Washington Crossing Historic Park that will serve as a self-guided tour. Washington Crossing Historic Park is located on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River, at the site where George Washington launched the crossing on Christmas night 1776. The interactive map will be available through the museum’s website and will incorporate historical images, photographs of artifacts in the Park’s collection, and audio including interpretive information and first-person histories. To develop this tour, WCP will work with a local interactive firm to address the need to reach more of the nearly 900,000 people who visit the Park each year, many of whom, due to the timing of their visit, personal preference, or financial resources, do not take the guided tours offered. The tour, which will launch in 2027, will extend this experience and incentivize these visitors to return.
