National Music Museum

The National Music Museum will implement a new collection stewardship and access plan to improve storage conditions and allow staff and researchers easier access the collections. Project activities will include acquiring and installing additional shelving and other storage materials, coordinating the move of historic keyboards onto custom-built shelving, and rehousing the collection items. Project outcomes include enhanced long-term preservation and management of the collection by increasing available floor space, making the collections more accessible to museum staff for evaluation and cataloguing, and providing students, researchers, and instrument makers with safe, uncluttered access to a greater part of the collection.
