Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum

The Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum will strengthen collections stewardship and access by deploying a new digital asset management system and digitizing collections. The collection includes historical photographs, documents, and other printed ephemera documenting the history and development of Harlingen and the surrounding Rio Grande Valley. Project activities include purchasing and installing cataloging software and digitization equipment, conducting staff training, and inventorying, cataloging, and digitizing the collection. The project will result in improved physical and intellectual control of the collection. The primary beneficiaries of this project are museum staff and volunteers, educators, students, researchers, and community members who will have improved access to the collection.
