Discovery Center Museum

Discovery Center Museum, Rockford Public Library and City of Rockford Head Start are expanding their long-term partnership to create a better living environment in their community for families served by Head Start. The project will raise awareness among Head Start parents and children about the importance of learning throughout a lifetime and motivate them to use museum and library facilities. The partners will educate museum and library staff to respond to the special needs of Head Start families. *Awarded under Museum Leadership Initiatives program - now part of National Leadership Grants for Museums
