New York University, Division of Libraries, Elmer Holmes Bobst Library

Log Number: LG-259666-OLS-26

New York University’s Elmer Holmes Bobst Library will develop a shared framework to support students engaging with data, leading to targeted data-search instruction, improved data-related services, and strategic allocation of resources. In collaboration withpartner libraries, the project aims to identify common patterns, challenges students face in their data-seeking process, and gaps in academic library support for data-seeking instruction and services. Building on these insights, the project will develop a prototype shared curricular framework to guide targeted data-search instruction and improve library data-finding services. Additionally, it will design a flexible, modular study on data-seeking behaviors that can be adapted to different library environments, allowing for ongoing evaluation and refinement of instructional strategies to further enhance data access and support.
