The Mississippi Library Commission will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2013-2017, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In Mississippi, specific goals address 1) Strengthening and enhancing the capacity of libraries as community anchors to support learning, civic engagement, cultural opportunities, and economic vitality; 2) Supporting the equitable delivery of accessible, high quality library resources, information, and services to meet the needs and expectations of learners; and 3) Encouraging libraries and library partners to creatively & strategically strengthen/expand library management practices & services and to explore new opportunities.
