The Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2013-2017, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In Rhode Island, specific goals address 1) facilitating access to and sharing of resources and information in all types of libraries; 2) providing library services to people with disabilities; 3) creating opportunities for libraries to enhance their capacity to provide services and resources to all Rhode Islanders; and 4) providing continuing education to increase and enhance the competencies and capacities of librarians, library paraprofessionals, and library trustees.
