The Idaho Commission for Libraries will use funds under the CARES Act to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus; to expand digital network access, purchase internet accessible devices, and provide technical support services.  They will continue to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022. In Idaho, specific goals address 1) Building the institutional capacity of libraries to better serve their communities; 2) Supporting the role of libraries in preparing Idahoans to be college and career ready; 3) Ensuring equitable access to information and library services for Idahoans with disabilities, those in rural communities, English-language learners, people living in poverty, and other underserved communities; and 4) Supporting the role of libraries in economic and employment development.
