The Library of Michigan will use funds under the American Rescue Plan Act to help communities respond directly and immediately to the pandemic, as well as to related economic and community needs through equitable approaches in digital inclusion and library services. They will continue to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022. In Michigan, specific goals address 1) providing Michigan residents with equal access to information resources in various formats for lifelong learning; 2) offering Michigan residents access to current services and training support through their libraries; 3) offering support to communities through collective impact initiatives and community engagement; and 4) providing residents with Michigan’s historical and cultural collections for lifelong learning.
