Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta’s project, “Science in Circulation!” will expand Zoo Atlanta’s community outreach programs through collaborations with the Atlanta Fulton Public Library System and the Georgia Public Library Systems. Zoo Atlanta will also implement the “Cases for Conservation” program, a unique, effective, and free hands-on teaching tool available for checkout from the zoo. In addition, Zoo Atlanta will provide professional educator workshops to 40 Atlanta Fulton Public Library System staff and 20 staff from the four surrounding Georgia Public Library branches. As a result, Zoo Atlanta will provide up to 10,200 library patrons with free educational experiences designed to develop a greater appreciation for wildlife and biodiversity, while promoting lifelong learning, environmental stewardship, and conservation action.
