Arboretum at Flagstaff

The Arboretum at Flagstaff will use its grant to enhance the design and use of its living collections database. As a result, a more accurate, user-friendly, standards-based database will be created to better serve the public and researchers via the Arboretum’s Web site. The project will also allow the Arboretum to purchase 500 plant labels for its public gardens. The labels will be created using the information contained in the enhanced database. The Arboretum, located on the Colorado Plateau near the Four Corners area of the Southwest, aims to increase public understanding and appreciation of the Plateau’s plants and plant communities and targets the unique biological diversity of the region and its importance to the rapidly changing landscape and urban/suburban communities in the region.
