Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin (Menominee Historic Preservation)

Menominee Tribal museum staff will attend nine collections management training workshops provided by the Oneida Nation Museum to increase their knowledge and skill in collections care and management. Staff will be trained in collections policy development, cataloging, inventory, loan procedures, collections access, deaccessioning, disaster preparedness, and caring for culturally sensitive objects. Participation in these workshops will give staff the necessary skills to better maintain Menominee artifacts, history, and culture into the future. These artifacts will also be available for Menominees, professors, researchers, and the general public to learn the Menominee history, survival, and culture from the time of creation to present day.
