National World War II Museum

The National WWII Museum will undertake a teacher professional development project to enhance the teaching of World War II history. Coinciding with the 80th Anniversary of World War II, the effort will ensure that younger generations learn about the most impactful war in modern human history. The project, reaching 15,000 teachers annually, will include onsite teacher workshops, online professional development courses, community-based teacher training programs, classroom-ready curriculums and resources, and a week-long Louisiana Teacher Academy. This work will result in enhanced teacher knowledge and teaching practices and increased student engagement with WWII history.
