The University of Tennessee Gardens, Knoxville, will expand its “Sow 2 Grow” program, which provides therapeutic horticulture and vocational training for teens and young adults with disabilities. Building on proven successes, the program offers hands-on learning experiences designed to enhance employability and community integration. The grant will fund the development of resources and materials to share “Sow 2 Grow’s” model with public gardens and agencies nationwide. The project also aims to provide professional development opportunities for university students pursuing careers in recreational and horticultural therapy.
