Idaho State University (Idaho Museum of Natural History)

The Idaho Museum of Natural History on the Idaho State University campus will use funds to improve the long-term care of its Ray J. Davis Herbarium, a historically, regionally, and nationally significant collection of over 80,000 plant and lichen specimens. During the project, museum staff will move the collection to a larger space with a more functional layout and install a high-density mobile storage system that is more conducive to preserving these delicate specimens in perpetuity. The increase in usable space will allow more room for public participation in collections, such as tours, classes, research, outreach activities, and volunteer work.
