Independence Seaport Museum

The Independence Seaport Museum will protect its collections from temperature- and humidity-related damage by replacing its aging HVAC system, which includes components dating back to 1974. Project activities will include demolition and removal of the old HVAC equipment, installation of the new equipment, and training for the building staff on the new computer system. The project will immediately address the museum’s current collections preservation challenges by installing a new HVAC system with modern, serviceable equipment. The new system will enable building staff to maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels through advanced system management software, ensuring more reliable environmental control for the museum’s collections.
