Hagen History Center

The Hagen History Center will digitize priority documents from their collection, update their collections database, and improve public access to their online collections database. Oversized or delicate documents, photos, ledgers, and deeds that the museum is unable to scan with their current scanner will be digitized with a new flatbed scanner, reducing risk of damage to the documents and ensuring preservation of the documents for future generations. The digital archivist will also add descriptions to the collections database and rehouse the documents before returning them to storage. Beneficiaries include collections staff, online and on-site researchers, the general public, and local elementary and high school students whose curricula includes the museum’s collections.
