National World War II Museum

Log Number: MA-260139-OMS-26

The National World War II Museum will expand its redesigned educator programs to reduce barriers and align with documented teacher needs, such as flexible, high-impact learning that can fit within teachers’ limited schedules. Project activities will include further development of the museum’s community-based teacher training utilizing their Master Teacher Ambassadors, on-site teacher workshops that provide hands-on experience, and their online self-paced professional development. The project will involve consolidating the museum’s four former week-long on-site seminar workshops into a single, highly structured conference-style experience to create a more unified experience. The outcome of project activities will ensure that K-12 teachers have access to high-quality and time-efficient professional development that strengthens their knowledge of World War II and provides practical resources that can be used immediately.
