National Law Enforcement Museum

The National Law Enforcement Museum will complete a collections database migration to enhance the accessibility of the database to staff and improve the ability of staff to respond to internal and external inquiries about the collection. The museum will hire a collections database manager to complete the migration, including reformatting existing records for successful transfer to the new system. The museum will also train collections staff to use the new database, update records with photographs of objects, and refine collections data. The improved database will allow staff to add location data to object records for improved collections management. Beneficiaries include staff, external researchers, and the general public through social media, website updates, in-person programs, and workshops.
