Pennypacker Mills

Pennypacker Mills will hire and train a Curator in Charge of the Archives and procure required equipment and archival supplies. The curator will catalog and digitize archival letters in chronological order by creating collections records, scanning each item, and linking scans to records. Eligible records will be uploaded to a searchable online database on a periodic basis, with ongoing supervision and quality review. The project will produce item-level collections database records with linked digital scans and expand searchable online access where permitted. Beneficiaries include historians, genealogists, educators, students, the general public, and remote users who rely on searchable access to archival materials, as well as staff who use these records for interpretation and education.
