Plimoth Patuxet Museums

Plimoth Patuxet Museums will improve documentation and access to 17th-century archaeological sites associated with three generations of Plymouth colonists. The project will begin with the scanning of photographs, slides, and paper records assembled over 50 years ago, followed by rehousing and reorganizing artifacts, creating finding aids, and disseminating the information through the museum’s website. The museum will provide stipends for advisors and hire a temporary collections assistant, who will work with staff and volunteers to implement activities. The project team will also promote the project through videos, blog posts, social media campaigns, and in-person and online lectures.
