Dakota Territorial Museum

Dakota Territorial Museum will create and implement a comprehensive plan to prepare the museum collections and museum staff for a move to a new facility. A part-time registrar will be hired to complete the computerization of collection records, allowing the Museum to track its collection through the process of moving and document any condition issues. Environmental monitoring equipment will be purchased along with conservation supplies to rehouse, label, and store items. Staff and volunteers will receive advanced training to document condition issues, re-house items, and pack collections. A move plan will be created for staff and volunteers to implement when collections are transferred to a new facility in 2018.
