Geographical Center Historical Society

The Geographical Center Historical Society will improve long-term preservation practices and establish procedures for working with its archive, library, research, and photo collections. A consulting conservator will conduct on-site collections care training workshops for staff, volunteers, and regional museum colleagues, and will guide the purchase of storage furniture and environmental monitoring devices. The project will result in a climate-controlled storage room equipped with proper storage furniture; paper, books, and photographic materials housed in conservation-sound materials and documented in the collections database; and greater accessibility to the collections by staff and public.
