Lincoln University Art Department and Langston Hughes Memorial Library are collaborating to initiate an internship program for future museum professionals. This internship program will create a cohort of three undergraduate students, each mentored in one of the three museum fields: Archiving, Collections Management, and Exhibitions. The interns will attend workshops, field trips, and conferences centered on professional development within the museum field, while being mentored by a Lincoln faculty or staff member to complete a specific project within one of the three listed fields. The intern projects will generate new opportunities for engaging with students and community members in the Amos Hall Gallery and will make portions of the African Art Collection and the Langston Hughes Collection digitally accessible.
