Rosa Parks Museum

Log Number: MH-259659-OMS-26

The Rosa Parks Museum at Troy University will create a permanent, research-based exhibition that expands public understanding of Rosa Parks beyond a single historical moment, presenting her as a lifelong activist, strategist, and community leader. Project activities include obtaining key items from the Rosa Parks collection at the Library of Congress, and the development of a thematic outline, schematic plan, and final design development documents. The project supports the hiring of an exhibit design firm to assist the museum and Mrs. Parks’ family in the development of content for the schematic plan and final design document. The outcome of project activities will be the completion of the first two phases of a permanent exhibit on the life and legacy of Civil Rights icon Rosa Parks.
