Triad Cultural Arts
Log Number: MH-260052-OMS-26
Triad Cultural Arts will create a virtual reality experience that highlights African American history, architecture, and community legacy. The initiative will create an immersive virtual learning environment, allowing students, educators, researchers, and community members to explore a digital reconstruction of the historic shotgun house and its cultural context. Interactive storytelling, digitized artifacts, and multimedia interpretation will help users engage with the history and experiences of the African American community in the Triad region. The virtual platform will include a structured curriculum for educators and community learning environments with a focus on K-12 students, educators, researchers, and community members. The project will result in creating materials that will support instruction in history, African American studies, social studies, and cultural heritage, offering lesson plans and activities that integrate the virtual experience into classroom and remote learning.
