Clark Atlanta University Art Museum

The Clark Atlanta University Art Museum will continue advancing the goals of the HBCU History and Culture Access Consortium (HCAC) initiative beyond the pilot phase into a permanent alliance. Project activities include recruiting a museum educator to enable faculty members to work with the museum and its outstanding resources to enhance and broaden students’ education. The project will support collaborations with university faculty to develop tailored museum programs and experiences for their students as well as developing public programs for area residents. The museum educator will foster strong relationships with faculty School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education. The outcome of project activities will be improvement to the museum’s professional management, expanded public access and engagement to the museum collection, and long-term partnerships with university faculty.
