Chicago Children's Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Chicago children's museum's (CCM) will expand upon its Early Childhood Initiative to reach many goals. First, it will reach additional families through expanded program offerings at the museum and throughout Chicago's communities. Second, it will partner with leaders in the field of early childhood education to increase the quality and the number of programs offered to parents and their young children. Three, it will strive to consistently present exhibits and programs that give children opportunities to learn, explore, think, face challenges, and develop new understandings of the world around them. This initiative follows on the heels of a museum assessment to formally evaluate the intent of exhibits and programs and determined whether original goals have been met. The funding will also assist CCM to increase staff training in the area of early childhood education
