Louden Tribe
Log Number: MN-257669-OMS-25
The Louden Tribe will establish multi-generational language and cultural activities to strengthen community bonds, foster intergenerational knowledge transfer, and promote cultural healing. The project will use the Language Vitality Network Model (LVNM) to integrate language learning into relevant cultural activities, such as an annual Cultural Healing Gathering, and seasonal cultural camps focused on Denaakk'e language and training community members in managing cultural artifacts. By enhancing access to resources at institutions like the University of Alaska Fairbanks Rasmussen Library, the project will also train staff and community members in utilizing library systems to further support language and cultural revitalization. The Nenh Koonh Project aims to empower the Tribe to reclaim cultural sovereignty, strengthen community well-being, and promote long-term resilience through the preservation of language and cultural knowledge.
