Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians

Log Number: MN-259715-OMS-26

The Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians will hire an operations coordinator to run the day-to-day operations of the Tribe’s Pomo Cultural Center, and to prepare it to properly store, display, catalogue, protect, and preserve cultural collections and loaned or returned items. The coordinator will work with the Tribe’s historian and other cultural center staff to develop exhibits and cultural programs, implement professional collections management practices, purchase necessary exhibition fixtures and furniture, and purchase and install a modern security system. By increasing their collections stewardship capacity, this project will result in the Tribe being able to accept transfers of Pomo items currently being held for safekeeping by other museums and institutions, expanding community access to tribal belongings and knowledge.
