La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians

The La Jolla Generations Program provides an encouraging atmosphere for the La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians and others in the Pauma Valley, California, area to enhance their knowledge and respect of culture, health, and academics. In the year ahead, programs will focus primarily on increasing literacy skills for children and youth in grades K–12. Staff will work with the school district and families to help students develop their reading strengths. To rejuvenate students’ love of literature and support their academic achievement, they will purchase new books, and offer reading enrichment activities.
