Seminole Tribe of Florida

Log Number: NAB-250382-OLS-21

The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Library Program supports public libraries on four reservations in Central and South Florida. The tribe’s four library branches will advance patrons’ knowledge and learning opportunities by supplementing and enhancing collections on the history indigenous peoples in North America. They plan to identify culturally significant literature focusing on individual tribes spanning the Arctic to the Southwest and add these titles to the library’s resources. The materials they seek will focus on a wide range of topics, including Indian activism, economic development, Indian education, military history involving tribal members serving in the United States military, and food sovereignty.
