Osage Nation

The Osage Nation will enhance library resources at Osage Nation’s Daposka Ahnkodapi Elementary School. Project funds will provide an infusion of new books and educational materials to augment students’ opportunities for literacy development, cultural exploration, and academic support. With a carefully selected collection of books, digital resources, and culturally relevant materials, the project will create a library that resonates with the backgrounds and experiences of Osage Nation children. Additional project activities will include developing educational programming, collecting oral histories, and improving digital media and technology within the library. As a result, the library anticipates a deeper sense of pride, belonging, and interest in literacy among Osage students.
