Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma

The Jones Academy Library of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will enhance its library services to better meet the community identified needs of Jones Academy students, teachers, families, and Tribal members. The project will strengthen library staff capacity through funding salaries for the Librarian and Library Assistant. Funds will also support the acquisition of high-interest and culturally relevant books, the replacement of worn or outdated materials, digital literacy instruction, and storytelling, language, and history workshops. As a result, the library aims to increase student engagement, improve literacy outcomes, and promote cultural enrichment.
