Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians

The Ben Guthrie Lac du Flambeau Public Library of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Wisconsin will enhance its library services and deliver programs including basic job application readiness, maple sugar and maple syrup making camps, spearing, Ojibwe storytelling, hunting and foraging for traditional Ojibwe foods, food preservation, and drug and alcohol addiction awareness training. All the activities were identified as areas of interest by community members. Grant funds will also support travel for its library workforce to attend the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums conference. The project will provide direct benefit to the Tribal members as well as the local community.
