Stockbridge-Munsee Community

The Stockbridge-Munsee Community Arvid E. Miller Memorial Library & Museum will improve collections care, increase accessibility, and boost community engagement through improved exhibit infrastructure, accessible interpretation, and the creation of an elder-led oral history initiative. Funds will support the purchase and installation of museum-quality exhibit cases, updated lighting to better preserve and present collections, and the redesign of exhibit panels for clarity, accessibility, and visitor engagement. The project will establish a dedicated recording space where elders can share stories and cultural knowledge, addressing a crucial need for cultural preservation. The project will provide direct benefit to the Tribal citizens within its project service area.
