Worklore: Brooklyn Voices Speaks brings together the Brooklyn Public Library and the Brooklyn Historical Society to explore the subject of working in Brooklyn as experienced by eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth-century residents. The two and one half year project includes free public programs and lectures; curriculum guides for fourth, seventh, eighth, and eleventh grades; marketing and outreach materials, and the creation of a Worklore Web site to provide online access to exhibition text, images, educational materials and lectures, as well as historic narratives and contemporary oral histories.
