The Syracuse University School of Information Studies will partner with the New York City Board of Education to address the need to educate school library media professionals for service in high-need, urban schools by creating a focused, graduate-level school media program in New York City. A total of 40 master's-level students will be recruited and will receive partial or total funding for participation in this program, A PLUS (A+). The program will build a collaborative model to serve underserved populations by bringing together a distinguished national school media teaching faculty and extending the unique strengths of the academic programs, faculty, and resources at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies.
