Old Dominion University will partner with Virginia Educational Region IV and Virginia Educational Region VII to address the critical shortage of licensed school library media specialists in Virginia by delivering a nationally recognized online professional graduate program to 40 students in designated superintendents' regions that are geographically farthest from the two nationally recognized school library media licensure programs-the very rural and mountainous Southwest region and the urban Northern Virginia region.
