Log Number: RE-259018-OLS-25

The Florida State University (FSU) School of Information, in partnership with University of South Carolina (USC) School of Information Science, will develop curricula, training, and an actionable research agenda that prepares libraries and library staff to respond to disasters in their communities. Based on existing research and practices, the project team will: 1) develop national learning and research agendas to guide libraries through the natural disaster cycle; 2) host a virtual library leader summit; and 3) create a multimodal community resiliency toolkit for library stakeholders to use for professional learning, curriculum development, and research. The project will benefit library professionals, students, and communities by providing actionable disaster strategies, library policy recommendations, and opportunities for learning that will better prepare the field to respond to disasters and create more resilient communities.
