LYRASIS

Lyrasis, in partnership with the San Diego Supercomputer Center and GO FAIR U.S., will build expertise among the U.S. academic and research library workforce with a focus on identifying and documenting research projects and activities. Through training on the Research Activity Identifier (RAiD) international standard, which fills a gap in documenting and describing research activities themselves, the project will help librarians integrate metadata and application programming interfaces (APIs) into library systems and workflows, apply RAiD data in research analytics and bibliometrics, and visualize research activity to better understand and communicate research project scope and impact in their communities. The project will produce a trained cohort of librarians and establish a national RAiD community of practice, improving standards-based tracking of research activity nationwide.
