The past few years have seen an increased demand for academic library staff to provide faculty and students with data management and curation services. Washington University in St. Louis, in partnership with the University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan, Cornell University, Duke University, and Johns Hopkins University, members of the Data Curation Network, will develop and implement an intermediate to advanced data management and curation training program for library staff. The program will address the need for discipline-focused library staff to gain confidence in research data services, as well as the need for research data, repository, and archival staff to enhance their discipline-specific knowledge.
