The MGH Institute of Health Professions will undertake the Open Access Course Reserves project, which will involve the creation of a publicly-available online repository of open access materials for undergraduate level, introductory physical sciences. The project has an ultimate goal of reducing the cost of higher education while maintaining the same level of quality, and will benefit students by replacing costly textbooks with freely-accessible resources. The Open Access Course Reserves will also be beneficial to faculty, who will be able to more easily locate open access resources for their courses.
