• The Accessible Museum: Model Programs of Accessibility for Disabled and Older People: American Association of Museums, National Endowment for the Arts and the Institute of Museum Services, 1992. Profiles a wide variety of museums, including art, natural history, and historic museums that have exemplary accessibility programs. • American Library Association (ALA), Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA): Library Accessibility Toolkits: Fifteen tip sheets developed to help librarians in all types of libraries understand and manage access issues.

• Universally Designed Museum Programming: An IMLS funded report by the Boston Museum of Science on increasing access for individuals with disabilities.

• The Department of Justice’s 2010 Standards for Accessible Design establish minimum criteria for accessibility in the design and construction of government facilities, public accommodations, and commercial facilities.

• Design for Accessibility: A Cultural Administrators Handbook: Guidebook for cultural administrators on increasing accessibility and inclusion in cultural programs and service organizations. See also the accompanying Accessibility Planning and Resource Guide for Cultural Administrators.

• Disability Access Symbols: A downloadable set of graphic symbols designed to promote and publicize accessibility for individuals with disabilities from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Graphic Artists Guild Foundation.
