Washington, DC – The Institute of Museum and Library Services Director, Crosby Kemper, appeared on Government Matters Nov. 3 to talk about the agency’s grant-making work, the renewed President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities, and the importance of museums, libraries, and cultural institutions in communities.

On Sept. 30, the president issued an Executive Order re-establishing PCAH as part of a proclamation designating October 2022 as National Arts and Humanities Month.

This joint initiative with the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities acknowledges the essential role of arts, humanities, and museum and library services in our society and democracy including civic life, economic opportunity and development, health and wellness, education, equity, climate, and social cohesion.
