The Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records will use funds to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2013-2017, which reflect the purposes and priorities of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). In Arizona, specific goals address 1) lifelong learning, literacy, and assisting Arizonans to fully participate in their local communities and the global society; 2) positioning libraries as forward-looking community anchors that address diverse needs, including human services, employment and economic development, and civic engagement; 3) stewardship, access, discovery, and use of library collections in a variety of formats; and 4) statewide leadership to Arizona's libraries by building institutional capacity.
